Can my organization become a member of Friends of the Earth?
Please check our member directory to find out if there is a Friends of the Earth group in your country. Our structure allows for only one group per country. If there is a group in your country, you should get in touch with them to see if you can cooperate. If there is no Friends of the Earth group in your country and your group is interested in applying for membership, please bear in mind that we have very strict membership criteria. If you feel that your group meets these criteria, you can ask for a membership application form by e-mail: web[at]foei.org.

Can I become a member of Friends of the Earth International?
Friends of the Earth International does not have individual members, although many of our national groups around the world do. You can support our international activities and become involved in our campaigns. To know when you can help us, sign up for our mailing list using the form at the top of the sidebar on this page. You can also make a donation.

How many members does Friends of the Earth International have?
Friends of the Earth International has 73 member groups and 2 associate member groups. All of the groups together have a total of over 2 million members and supporters around the world.

You can find a complete list of the contact details of all member groups of Friends of the Earth International here. If there is no group listed for a specific country, this means that we do not yet have a group there.

How is Friends of the Earth International funded?
We're funded through contributions from our member groups and donations from governments and foundations. You can find more details in our annual reports.

Can you help fund my project/education?
Friends of the Earth International is a campaigning organization and is unfortunately not able to offer financial assistance.

Are you accepting applications for jobs, internships or volunteer positions?
The International Secretariat is a small office so we don't often have vacancies. Check our Vacancies page and social media accounts for any paid or volunteer opportunities.
Note that open applications are not considered nor filed. We will only review applications as part of a recruitment process based on a vacancy we publish, including for internships and volunteers.
If there is a Friends of the Earth member group in your country, you can also contact them to find out about jobs, internships or volunteer positions locally.

Can you link to my website or my organization's website?
Most websites we are asked to link to are specific to a certain country or region, whereas the Friends of the Earth International website is intended for a global audience. We suggest that you contact the Friends of the Earth member group in the country your website is intended for. To contact a member group please go to the member group directory.

How can I live in a more environmentally-friendly manner?
There are many simple steps that can be taken. A number of national Friends of the Earth groups around the world have created excellent publications on this subject, so we suggest that you contact a group in your country or region of the world.
